Cuisine from Egypt is generally pretty healthy, except perhaps their national drink, beer. Egyptian beer happens to made from barley and spices are added. Rice and bread is served with vegetables and meat for lunch and dinner usually. There is quite a variety of vegetables, and one called Molokhiyya is a lot like spinach. Other entrees would include delicacies such as grilled pigeon stuffed with rice, some deep or fried fish, or a spicy salad of tomatoes, cheese.

To whip up a batch of this delicious treat will show someone special that you enjoy the finer things in
life, and you can do it easily…here goes…
Gather 2 tbsp flour, 1/2 tea. salt, and a dash of pepper, shake up in a bag.
Take four chicken breasts, skin and bone them. Also 2 tbsp butter,melted, 1 tbsp olive oil, 3/4 cup
champagne (…here there is no substitute…) 1/4 mushrooms, 1/4 cup scallions, minced and Sauternes and 1/2 cup
heavy cream….prepare and set aside to do the following:
Dredge chicken in flour mixture, heat butter and oil, fry chicken and saute about four minutes
on each side. …add the bubbly at this point… then cook over medium to low heat 12-15 minutes. Done!
Makes 3-4 servings. Wild rice will go a long way with a hot date people! -

The key rule is: for great dressing use more oil, less vinegar!
The ratio that generally works best is 3:1 oil to vinegar, and thats what I use. If you use more,
the taste will be swallowed up by the vinegar, and vinegar has a strong taste, yet it can be subtle though
if used sparingly. There is a very simple way to enjoy sad dressing thats absolutely the best and downright
sublime: …you just use extra-virgin pressed olive oil, and salt, and pepper. It is a minimalistic and pure
measure. If you add any other spices, you take your chances! -

Well, its always a matter of taste when it comes to getting coffee. I prefer using whole
bean coffee beans from Dunkin Donuts, hand ground in a bean grinder, and always fresh!
(its always even better than what you will buy at an actual Dunkin Donuts store freshly made, don’t ask me why,
probably because its made to order fresh, the beans are still perfectly fresh)
You could take the time to find out a favorite bean, or sample them at local supermarkets, there are
usually whole bean varsities in abundance…Have fun! -

Cut the fries the way you want them, there could be wedges, or skins, or curly or home fry or what have you….
or the best potato chips, just make sure and get a style all your own, a signature cut. Yup! I Do.
OK next step, heat up a saucepan or stock pot, or better yet, get a deep fryer and a designated supply of
cooking oil…(set it up, soon potato heaven!)… remember the larger the batch, the better your friends
will enjoy this…So, heat up the oil to about 250 degrees and then add your potato…. Turn heat to high
and let the temp creep up to 350 degrees, then the fries take the plunge until golden brown. Remove the potatoes
from the oil, a fry strainer is key. Drain on paper or other towels, serve hot, ketchup

Serve 12 people easily by putting this healthy snack together in minutes! Do this!
1 cup each: Puffed kamut, brown rice, millet from a health store or use just a regular 3 cups
of puffed wheat from an ordinary grocery store. Kashi cereal would be awesome too, its your choice!
½ cup of peanut butter — you could choose a natural peanut butter thats just peanut butter,
not with all the awful additives in prepared processed varieties… then just add ½ cup honey
and one teaspoon of molasses blackstrap molasses the bomb!
OK…dump cereal in bowl,then honey, peanut butter and molasses. Pour in cereal mixture, quickly
mix and then press into 13x 9 in. pan. Let sit 20 minutes if you can wait that long!

Recipe serves 12: get 12 tortillas, and whichever non-stick spray you want to use,
( health food stores have a pump spray without the aerosol, its a mean green world people…)
OK, now just preheat your oven to 425 degrees, and spray a cookie sheet with your spray non-stick.
Next: stack your tortillas and cut them evenly into 6 even pieces, like cutting a pizza!
Place the tortilla slices onto your cookie sheet… you could choose to spray your tortillas to get a
crisp effect, or not…(i am getting hungry!)…. Bake for approximately 8 minutes, check often to
not make too brown or burn— are your guests here yet?…OK, let cool and choose your dip!
( I prefer hummus, artichoke, or black bean dip, you could just heat up some refried beans too,
but thats your choice now… its time to munch!)

This is a hot recipe for tortilla round-ups… recipe makes on tortila round-up!, make as many as you want!
Flour tortilla, ( try the optional sprouted wheat tortilla), ½ ounce cream cheese…you could pick a flavor
other than plain!, 1 ounce chicken breast ( or tofu for vegetarians!) two slices f4esh tomato
1 romaine lettuce leaf, or another variety, 1 green onion, minced, and finally one teaspoon vinaigrette
or other dressing if you prefer….
just lay out your tortilla, sand then spread your cream cheese all over it…. in small bowl toss you lettuce,
tomato, and dressing….set aside
lay out your meat or tofu…then just spread your lettuce mixture evenly, and then… just roll-up like you

Get ready, it’s time to snack! Ok if you want to be healthy, eat healthy.
Curds and whey- believe it or not, just drizzle honey on the top of your cottage cheese,
add some cinnamon and its yum time with that. Carrots, not just for bunnies anymore! Baby carrots
are perfect for snacking and you don’t have to cut them up! Cheese on a string: use your
discretion, many types and flavors! Dried fruit! A bag of raisins, dried apple rings, prunes,
apricots,etc. When you’re on the go, you should pack for snacks, this will prevent you
from eating too much junk food and be good for your body to boot! This can reduce anxiety,
no junk food can claim that! -

Hey I love things done right, and I love the lunches made from home.
As a single guy, the food is I eat has been on the go and hastily prepared,
but the way I do it now even though eating on the run,
is as follows: Sandwich – I happen to eat pita sandwiches now because its a
health kick for me these days. Do you like to improve yourself
when you can? Me too. Next is chips, I try for tortilla or sour cream.
Drink— I make sure its a juice, not soda anymore, the juice gives you more
energy and no crash from caffeine, better for the mood. I’m out of here,
