Cuisine from Egypt is generally pretty healthy, except perhaps their national drink, beer. Egyptian beer happens to made from barley and spices are added. Rice and bread is served with vegetables and meat for lunch and dinner usually. There is quite a variety of vegetables, and one called Molokhiyya is a lot like spinach. Other entrees would include delicacies such as grilled pigeon stuffed with rice, some deep or fried fish, or a spicy salad of tomatoes, cheese.
